Join me this September in Italy for my Tuscany Photo Workshop.

Tuscany Photo Workshop includes:

• Instruction by Nick Zungoli, including small group field instruction for 4 full days.

• Deluxe minibus transportation for 4 full days to all photography sights.

• Admissions for all included sightseeing.

• 5 nights at the beautiful B&B Fattoria Poggerino located in Chianti, Italy.

• Double occupancy with breakfast daily.

• Reception dinner and orientation September 15th.

• Winery tour through the vineyards of the world famous Chianti Classico wine region.

• Final dinner September 19th.

• Transfer to and from Florence and Chianti, Italy, September 15th and 20th.

• Each participant receives a book of the Tuscany Workshop photos.

Since our workshop participants join us from places far and wide, airfare is not included. Also, you may decide that you’d like to travel around other places in Italy either before or after the workshop. We advise arrival to Italy at least a day in advance so that you can be jet lag free and ready to go. The land cost is based on current exchange rate between the Euro and US dollar. Crafts, Music, Food, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides and Personal Trains. Where else but Sugar Loaf will you get such an eclectic mix of family activities? This year the Sugar Loaf Chamber of Commerce is returning to its roots and has re-established the historic hamlet’s Spring Festival. May 26th and 27nd will have the main street (Kings Highway) closed to thru traffic as over 60 food and craft vendors, resident artisans and musicians welcome the warmer weather.

Vendors: Chainsaw Carving, Eclectic Clothing, Oil Painting, Jewelry, Watercolor, Native American Indian Art, Woodcarvers, Candles, Soap Makers, Leather, Quilts, Furniture, Photography, Pottery, Flowers and Food.

The Sugar Loaf Spring Festival is a Free event and a wonderful day trip for the entire family. Kings Highway will be closed to thru traffic 7am to 7pm from Pine Hill Road to the Lycian Theater.

Bliss Co-op wins Times Herald Record “Best Art Collective”

Sugar Loaf’s Bliss Co-op located on Rome’s Alley won the Times Herald Record’s Best Art Collective in the Hudson Valley. We all congratulate Dana Anders, owner of Bliss Co-op who opened her fine shop in April of 2011.

Here is an example of some of the unusual jewelry items that can be found at Bertoni Gallery. This piece was a custom cut Agate from the Philippines. I had my lapidary custom cut a section of the larger stone that looked like a beach scene. This piece was featured on the CBS Early Show in 2011!

Polymer Clay Shed is a newly established shop located in Romers Alley. Run by Carola Greiser, it displays her handcrafted assortments of jewelry, accessories, housewares, pottery and more.

The shop got its name due to the many beautiful pieces created out of polymer clay. This is a clay like substance that comes in a variety of colors. After the clay has been molded into the wanted design it is placed in the oven until hardened.

(North Pole: December 2011) Unnamed sources have told The North Pole News that plans are in the works for all “memorable gifts” to be outsourced to Sugar Loaf Art & Craft Village this year. Santa is planning a trip to Sugar Loaf and the elves are looking to the Reindeer team for solidarity. A phone call to Rudolf last night went unanswered.
